Dawn Serpa grew up in rural Oregon and moved to San Francisco, after earning an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Oregon.
As life-long brand marketer and business development strategist, Dawn has developed strategic relationships with globally recognized celebrities and businesses. Forging meaningful and mutually beneficial partnership has been the cornerstone of Dawn’s success as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. With people like Ellen De Generes, Ronnie Lott, and Brad Pitt, as well as companies like Nordstrom, Sephora, and Guthy Renker willing to join Dawn in her endeavors she’s managed to grow and sell two companies as well as raise funds for meaningful non-profits and political campaigns.
Dawn’s first foray into beauty was with Neutrogena Corporation. In 2011, Dawn was awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” by The Woman’s Initiative and the United States Congress for her work done as Founder and CEO of Lea Journo Hair Care. After enjoying a successful entrepreneurial career, traveling the world, and a stint at Harvard Business School, Dawn has spent the rest of her career working for Global Beauty powerhouses like Estee Lauder Companies where she was the North American GM for Glamglow and now for Dermstore an online prestige beauty ecommerce platform owned by Target Corporation. In addition to her work in the beauty industry Dawn enjoys helping others and supporting causes that make the world a better place for all. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Lui, a video game studio art director and has two sons, Sam, who works in the real estate development industry and Ryan who is pursuing a Ph.D. at University of California Berkeley.
