At eSalon, Gimenez merged the worlds of technology and beauty to make possible large-scale production of customized, salon hair color. Now all women have access to the same quality color that previously was available only at prestige salons.
Since 2010, the company has experienced phenomenal growth, expanding into international markets and launching new product categories. “Our goal has been to offer clients the chance to finally fall in love with their hair color, without having to pay a great deal,” Gimenez said. “Until now, a woman’s only options were to spend $100 or more in a salon, or face endless aisles of mediocre drugstore color. We’ve turned the color market on its head and are excited about our continued success and confirmation of our vision,” he said.
Prior to eSalon, Gimenez was an integral part of the management team at PriceGrabber.com, one of the leading comparison shopping websites and global e-commerce companies. His vision helped it grow into a multi-million dollar company, which was acquired by Experian for $485mm in 2005.
Gimenez holds an M.B.A from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
